Our History

We began this journey to produce a small healthy bully in 2006. The ideal dog being much like a moderate and more physically balanced French bulldog or the earlier version of the Boston terrier when they were more sturdy and had less extreme features. Having a confident easy going nature being essential. In the late 1800’s and even into the early 1900’s there was often only small differences between many of the French bulldogs and  Boston terriers of the day.

We were lucky to find a breeder in Canada that was like minded and had established an entirely unique bloodline of Olde boston bulldog that we were able to work with. We were able to personally get to know the dogs behind ours by several generations and have a solid grasp on the traits they offered. By the combined efforts of a few breeders more french bulldog was added. Contributions were made from some of the more moderate and athletic lines of shorty bull (Staffordshire Bull Terriers and French and English Bulldogs) and a North American Grand champion American bulldog who contributed beautiful structure and a fabulous stable temperament.

It seems like a lot of breeds! But we have always chosen based on the individual dog's temperament, health and physical attributes. As well as giving consideration to what the bloodline had to offer to our goals, not based on breed. The dogs we use  are of known origin and are included in our program with consideration and intention.

From here, we continue to choose only the best temperaments we can get our hands on, stable, biddable, a great off switch and loads of personality. We continue to work towards the goal of a healthy small bulldog who would resemble a more moderate version of the french bulldog.

We thank all the breeders who have contributed along the way and those that have graciously given us the gift of the bloodlines that some have spent literal decades establishing.
